I was awarded the degree of MD from the University of Glasgow, and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Neurosurgeons in 2002, and was appointed to the Specialist Register in 2003. After experience as a Locum Consultant Neurosurgeon in Plymouth, I am currently consolidating my experience in Complex Spine disorders at North Tees where my main clinical interest is in the management of degenerative and neoplastic spinal disorders. I have a keen interest in all aspects of research (with over 30 publications in the medical and scientific literature) and am currently engaged in clinical research at North Tees. I am married with one child, and enjoy reading and keeping fit.
